Hangar 13 has announced that Mafia III: Definitive Edition is now available for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S with a host of improvements, with existing owners on PS4 and Xbox One able to download the native versions as a free upgrade.
You can read the full patch notes below. Among the improvements available for Mafia III: Definitive Edition include 60 FPS support, which was previously the case with Mafia: Definitive Edition. In addition, tweaks have been made to Trophy and Achievement tracking, and story mission progression has also been improved, which removes instances of players getting stuck or unable to progress during certain checkpoints and cutscenes.
Oddly enough, there doesn’t seem to be the same treatment given to Mafia II: Definitive Edition, despite it being rated for PS5 alongside Mafia III on the ESRB earlier this week. Perhaps that’s coming soon enough, though.
