If you are looking to purchase a new PlayStation 3, you’ll find the best price at Amazon.com, as the mega-online retailer recently dropped the price of its 80GB and 160GB PS3 units. While the price cuts are a modest $10 and $20 respectively, Amazon currently offers one of the best prices for new PS3s.
Amazon Japan and Amazon UK also dropped the prices of PS3 packages. We cannot confirm that these cuts are permanent, but given their modest value, we’re inclined to believe that they could be. Amazon’s price drop likely has nothing to do with analysts’ beliefs that a PS3 price cut is imminent.
