Arc System Works has revealed a number of changes that have been implemented in Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls, following feedback from user in the closed betas and event demos.
Tagging has seen a reduction on its animation time and frames, cancelling an attack to trigger non-rush assists, reducing assist and hitstop & consecutive assists, changes to aerial assist conditions, and the ability to call ground assist while airborne among others.
Takeshi Yamanaka, producer on Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls, posted the following message on X regarding the changes:
We are currently refining the game design based on feedback from event demos and Closed Beta Tests 1 & 2. Some improvements are visible in the trailer, including updates to the Assist mechanic, faster characters switching, and adjustments to Link Attacks. Additional changes, such as tuning the frequency of area transitions, are not shown in the trailer.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is currently in development for PC and PS5, and takes the form of a 2.5D fight that allows players to choose from an ensemble of iconic Marvel characters. Fighting Souls supports a 4v4 system allowing you to alternate between one primarily combatant and three assist fighters, which can be called into battle for extra offence or enabling the lead character to be swapped out for other fighters.
