Arkane Studios has responded to fans eager for news on Marvel’s Blade after chatter about the game’s cancellation started gathering pace on Sunday following the Xbox Games Showcase. It’s message is clear – let us cook.
In case you haven’t been keeping up with all the murmurs, Jeff Grubb speculated that Marvel’s Blade could have been scrapped after failing to put in appearance during Microsoft’s latest showcase. He then quickly followed this up by stating the game is indeed still in development, much to the relief of fans.
“Whoa. No. I was just speculating here. I’ve checked since. Sounds like there are reasons we haven’t seen it, but those reasons are not because there are problems with the game. Not dead,” wrote Grubb.
Following this, the lead concept artist for Arkane Studios responded to a user on X asking for an update, to which they posted the ‘let us cook’ meme. In other words, everything’s fine, they’re just busy knuckling down on Marvel’s Blade. As for when we’ll see it again? Well, we’ll just have to wait.
Marvel’s Blade follows the titular Daywalker as he ventures into a quarantine one in the middle of Paris, France, which is home to a colony of ferocious vampires that are preying on humans while looking to invade the rest of the city. Blade also struggles with his origins as one of the undead and a human, which has seen him ostracised from society.
