Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Dev Pays Tribute To Horror Legend Tony Todd, Who Has Passed Away Aged 69

Tony Todd, the voice actor behind Venom in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and a prolific horror movie actor, has passed away aged 69 from cancer. Following Todd’s passing, Insomniac Games has posted its own tribute to the actor on social media.

Insomniac Games is heartbroken by the passing of our friend Tony Todd. He brought so much joy to our studio during the production of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and to many fans around the world with his inimitable voice and presence. We are Venom… forever.

Todd is probably best known for his work in the Candy Man and Final Destination movie franchises, serving as the titular villain in the former and William Bludworth in the latter. However, he also had a starring (and in my opinion, underrated) role in Tom Savini’s 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead, where he played the role of Ben, who leads a group of zombie outbreak survivors to find shelter in an abandoned farmhouse.

The actor is set to appear posthumously in Final Destination: Bloodlines and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
