Marvel’s Spider-Man 2‘s associate animation director has revealed during a new interview doing the rounds on Twitter that players may spot the second Spider-Man going about their business while swinging through New York City. So, if you’re playing as Peter Parker, you may happen upon Miles busting some criminals below you in the streets.

Players will also be able to switch between Peter and Miles at any point in the game, with each Spider-Man featuring their own unique abilities. According to the development team, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will last players about as long as the original game.
Elsewhere, the upcoming superhero sequel will allow players to run the game at various frame rates (including 30-60 FPS) with ray-tracing enabled, and will include support for VRR and 120Hz displays. Those of you who pick up the Digital Deluxe Edition meanwhile will receive a bunch of new suits, including a Sony Bend-designed Tactical Suit.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is due out on October 20, 2023.
