Insomniac Games has reaffirmed in a post on X that Marvel’s Wolverine is still launching in Fall 2026, despite the recent delay for Grand Theft Auto VI, which puts Rockstar Games’ crime romp out in November 2026.
Marvel’s Wolverine finally showed its face back in September after many years in the dark, where Sony treated us to the game’s first trailer complete with bloody combat and confirmation that the character will be portrayed by Liam McIntyre. A Fall 2026 was also announced.

Last week, Grand Theft Auto VI was pushed back to November 19, 2026 having previously been scheduled to arrive in Fall 2025, before being delayed to May 2026. Naturally, no game really wants to launch around the same window as a new Grand Theft Auto title, but Marvel’s Wolverine isn’t budging.
Marvel’s Wolverine is scheduled for release in Fall 2026 and follows the titular anti-hero as he searches for answers about his past. The game doesn’t pull any punches when it comes to violence; Wolverine will unleash brutal claw-based combat, slicing through his enemies’ flesh with deadly precision, spraying blood everywhere and severing limbs in the process. This is an authentic take on the iconic character, coming from the same team that brought you Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
