Insomniac Games has reaffirmed (again) that it will share fresh details on PS5’s highly anticipated Marvel’s Wolverine in Spring 2026, which given the fact we’re almost in May means we won’t have to wait long for new info.
When asked on X by a fan if more info was still planning to be revealed in Spring 2026, the studio simply replied, “Yup, still happening this Spring.” What we don’t know at this point is whether Marvel’s Wolverine will receive its own dedicated info drop from Insomniac Games (on the PlayStation Blog, for example) or if it will be incorporated into Sony’s next State of Play. Having said that, we wouldn’t be surprised if it got its own State of Play given how big of a game it is.
Marvel’s Wolverine is slated to launch exclusively for PS5 on September 15, 2026. The game is the next major project from Insomniac Games following the release of 2023’s hugely successful Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and sees the clawed mutant (portrayed by Liam McIntyre) as he embarks on a journey to uncover answers about his past. Marvel’s Wolverine is very much a mature take on the character, as Logan will spill buckets of blood during combat, slicing off limbs as his dispatches foes with deadly precision.
Along the way, Wolverine is set to come into contact with the likes of Omega Red and Mystique, with his journey taking him to a variety of locations such as Japan and Canada. Insomniac has confirmed the game is a standalone story in its established Spider-Man franchise, offering a self-contained narrative that shares continuity within the studio’s established Marvel universe.
