Sony Interactive Entertainment has reiterated during its latest financial results overnight that Marvel’s Wolverine is still slated launch during the company’s next fiscal year, which runs April 2026 – March 2027.
“Next fiscal year, we plan to release new titles such as Saros and Marvel’s Wolverine, and we intend to enhance our efforts to increase the revenue of our studio business,” said the company.
The hardware manufacturer had previously stated that Marvel’s Wolverine would be released in Fall 2026, which obviously covers the next fiscal year. And, while Sony didn’t simply mention this window in the above comment, it’s probably just a case of them speaking more broadly in terms of financial year rather than hinting it may not arrive until early 2027.
The part of James ‘Logan’ Howlett will be played by actor Liam McIntyre, who said late last year that he’s grateful for all the fans who have added Marvel’s Wolverine to their Wishlist, and is eager to showcase more of the game this year.
Marvel’s Wolverine is not going to be cutting corners when it comes to violence, as last September’s trailer showcases Wolverine slicing up enemies in brutal fashion with his iconic adamantium claws. Blood, guts, and limbs will generally decorate the environment whenever Wolverine unleashes his prowess in combat.
