Insomniac Games has released Marvel’s Wolverine update 1.001.005 on PS5 over the weekend, which targets the controversial scent trails which many people have criticised in the game. If you’re not aware, these scent trails basically act as a means of guiding Logan through the environment to his next objective and other points of interest, although critics noted that they take hand-holding to an intrusive new level considering the fact the game is very linear. In response, Insomniac Games has reduced the opacity of these scent trails to make them less obvious. You can read full details in the patch notes below.
We have deployed a new hotfix (v1.001.005) for Marvel’s Wolverine.
This hotfix addresses some common crashes experienced by a small percentage of players since launch.
Additionally, this hotfix adjusts the presentation of the Scent Trails and Audio Sense indicators, including reduced opacity to make these visuals less intense.
Our team continues to evaluate ways to further improve Senses in the game, including exploring toggleable options for a future update.
