Mass Effect Andromeda Season Pass not planned, DLC details to follow

BioWare’s Aaryn Flynn has confirmed that the hotly anticipated sci-fi RPG Mass Effect Andromeda will not include a Season Pass for any post-launch downloadable content.

Flynn confirmed the news during a chat with fans on Twitter (via Polygon), though wouldn’t actually comment on Mass Effect Andromeda DLC itself, simply stating, “We’ll talk more about that later :).” Right now, it’s unknown if any extra content will be story-based in nature, or will pertain to the game’s multiplayer component.

Mass Effect Andromeda release date confirmed for March

Mass Effect Andromeda is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on March 21 in the U.S. and March 24 in Europe. The game introduces a brand new character in the shape of Ryder, a pathfinder who is tasked with exploring the game’s titular Andromeda galaxy in search of new home for humanity. Exploration is very much at the forefront of this latest series installment, with players able to utilise the Nomad (Andromeda’s version of the old Mako) to venture across new worlds.

The game will feature a pricey Collector’s Edition featuring a remote control Nomad among other goodies, and BioWare has confirmed that the current version of Andromeda is running at 1080p/30fps on PS4. In addition, it’s worth remembering that BioWare’s upcoming space opus will also support PlayStation 4 Pro, with the studio claiming the game looks ‘spectacular’ running on Sony’s high-end console.
