A PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release of BioWare’s Mass Effect Trilogy has appeared on retailer Zmart’s official website (via CVG).
Sadly, that’s about all there is to report on at the moment, as there’s currently no release date or price listed.
However, it’s worth remembering that BioWare has expressed interest in releasing a next-generation version of its critically-lauded sci-fi franchise only recently.
The Mass Effect Trilogy was released for PS3 and Xbox 360 back in 2012, and includes all DLC for the series. It is also noteworthy for marking the first availability of Mass Effect 1 for the PS3, which was previously exclusive to PC and Xbox 360.
As for the future of the series, BioWare is already confirmed to be working on a new Mass Effect, though it remains unknown whether it will be a prequel or sequel to Commander Shepard’s exploits.
