The latest issue of U.S. mag Game Informer has spilled the beans on Rockstar’s eagerly waited third installment in the Max Payne franchise.
According to an info digest posted on Kotaku, this latest entry in the popular series sees a run-down, bearded Payne heading for Sao Paulo, Brazil in a storyline set more than 10 years after the events of Max Payne 2.
Furthermore, the sequel will retain the series trademark bullet-time mechanics and will apparently feature some form multiplayer component, though details on the latter are currently unknown at this point. Max Payne 3 is currently pencilled in for release this winter for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360. We’ll have more on the game as it breaks.
