Following news that an update on the MediEvil Remaster for PS4 is coming soon, there’s fresh rumors about what exactly will be announced. According to whispers, the game will be called MediEvil Skeletal Collection and will feature MediEvil 1 and MediEvil 2 Remastered.
A poster on Reddit appears to know a lot about the updated classic. They also claim that a MediEvil Skeletal Collection trailer will be revealed on October 31, 2018. This ties in with the news that more information will be revealed on the official PlayStation blogcast in the next couple of weeks.
The leaker also says that the MediEvil Skeletal Collection release date will be revealed on that day, and that the developer will be looking at MediEvil 3 should the collection do well.
We’re not entirely convinced that the information is true. However, the leak was backed up with the box art that you can see below. This was later revealed to be fan-art.
However, we do know that we will definitely hear more in the coming weeks.
MediEvil is a hack and slash action-adventure that first launched on PlayStation in 1998. Adopting a cartoon-style, the action takes place from the perspective of Sir Daniel Fortesque on his mission to save the Kingdom of Gallowmere from Zarok who has vowed to take revenge on the King after he was banished from the land for conducting horrifying experiments on the dead.
Bearing many visual similarities to Tim Burton’s The Night Before Christmas, MediEvil equips players with a variety of long-ranged and close-ranged weapons, including clubs and crossbows. Players face a horde of creatures as they hack and slash their way through multiple levels.
Each level has puzzles to solve, and if you defeat a certain number of enemies in each level you gain entry to the Hall of Heroes, where you can pick up special items and weapons.
