Megaton Rainfall swoops in to PS4 & PSVR next month

First-person superhero sim?!

Have you ever wanted to be a superhero? Chances are, that’s a definite "yes" for most people. With Pentadimensional Games’ "Megaton Rainfall," you’ll be able to do just that come its release this September 26 on the PlayStation 4 and PSVR.

Just what is Megaton Rainfall? According to Alfonso Cerro, developer of Pentadimensional Games, Megaton Rainfall "fils the market gap of games that let you control an indestructible superbeing who can fly at supersonic speeds across teh Earth facing a global alien invasion and preventing the destruction of one city after another." I know something like this is super hard to visualize, so yeah, just want the release date announcement above.

Megaton Rainfall will see you progressing your superpowers as the game goes on. While at the beginning of the game, you can only roam the Earth, diving to the bottom of the ocean and go up way to the skies looking for threats. Once you’re stronger, you can fly to the moon, walk across the surface of the sun and more.

As mentioned in the headline, it is compatible with PlayStation VR, so your dreams of being a superhero and being in their shoes is close to becoming a reality. Those who own a PS4 Pro can enjoy the view at full 4K resolution of 3840×2160, and the frame rate targets a smooth 60 frames per second (2D, VR, PS4 Pro, Pro+PSVR).
