Hideo Kojima, the creator behind the multi-million selling Metal Gear franchise, has shed light as to why his team at Kojima Productions are so “obsessed” with hitting 60fps.
Kojima-san took to Twitter to explain his reasons, stating that he believes a game’s frame rate is just as important as its resolution.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes was notable for hitting the 60fps benchmark on PlayStation 4, and its successor, The Phantom Pain, is also targeting this frame rate when it launches in 2015.
Seeking for reality in video world, the next of 3D is "Frame-rate". Not only resolution.Just as Douglas Trumbull introduced "Showscan"(cont)

While we’re on the subject of films, Peter Jackson’s 2012 fantasy film, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, was infamous for running at 48fps, which is twice the standard frame rate for movies.
Furthermore, the sequel to James Cameron’s Avatar will purportedly run at a massive 120fps, utilizing 4K 3D technology courtesy of Douglas Trumbell.
How do you feel about 60fps? Is it as important as resolution? Would you prefer one or the other, or both? Let us know in the comments section below.
