Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1 Lets You Pause Cutscenes, But It Takes 10 Seconds To Bring Up The Pause Menu

The Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1 has found its way into the hands of streamers ahead of next week’s launch, revealing that it’s possible to pause the game’s cutscenes. The only catch? It takes 10 seconds to bring up the pause menu, so it’s a bit jarring.

The ability to pause cutscenes however is very welcome, as the Metal Gear Solid games not only feature a lot of them, but they’re pretty lengthy in places, too. The original versions of these games did not allow users to pause cutscenes, so this is definitely a positive quality-of-life adjustment.

In terms of performance and resolution, none of the games included in the collection allow for 4K resolution, although there is 60 FPS available for a few of the games. You can also create a save file to recreate Psycho Mantis reading your memory card from the PSOne days.
