The recently revealed Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1, which we know includes the first three Metal Gear Solid games remastered for modern consoles will also include the first two Metal Gear games.
Confirmed through the game’s PlayStation Store page, the full list of games included in the collection are:
- Metal Gear
- Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
- Metal Gear Solid (Including VR Missions/Special Missions)
- Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty (HD Collection Version)
- Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (HD Collection Version)
With the “Vol.1” suffix added on to the end of the Master Collection, hopefully it means Konami intends to create a Vol.2 which includes more of the series, games like Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Portable Ops, even potentially Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots.
Of course that last title is quite large, and could very likely call for its own separate release outside of a collection.
More than anything though Metal Gear fans are just more than happy to see Konami bringing these titles to modern consoles, and to see that the rumoured Metal Gear Solid 3 remake is in fact real, as Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater Delta
