Noriaki Okamura, producer on the Metal Gear Solid franchise, has revealed during the series’ Tokyo Game Show event overnight that Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 has been in development for some time now, and will share more details soon.
Nothing has been confirmed in regards to what games will be featured in the collection, although it has been heavily speculated that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is among the title set to be included. Beyond that, Okamura-san revealed that he’d like to remake Metal Gear Solid, although noted this would be the hardest game to tackle but he’s ready to take on the challenge.

Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater meanwhile will receive its Fox Hunt multiplayer update on October 30, 2025. Speaking on the subject of remakes, Konami recently surveyed fans on what they would like to see given an overhaul in the franchise next, although nothing official has been set in stone yet.
