News from today’s E3 Microsoft press conference has revealed a brand new game in the Metal Gear Solid franchise, entitled Metal Gear Solid Rising.
Sony will no doubt be disappointed that a franchise which was strong enough to drive sales of its PlayStation 3 console, with the brilliant Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, will no longer be one its flagship titles. Despite this, it is highly likely that Metal Gear Solid Rising will find its way over to Sony’s console in addition to the Xbox 360 release (we’ll hopefully have confirmation on this at Sony’s press conference tomorrow)
A trailer was shown at the press conference which revealed that Raiden, who first debuted in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, will feature as a playable character. As soon as the trailer lands online we’ll be sure to post it up.
