Konami has lifted the lid on a stunning selection of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain screenshots for your viewing pleasure.
The Phantom Pain takes the venerable stealth-oriented franchise into open-world territory for the first time, giving Snake (voiced by Kiefer Sutherland) a massive game environment to explore.
Players will be given unprecedented freedom in which to approach mission objectives, allowing for a myriad of gameplay options in terms of tactics. Snake can also pilot a variety of vehicles, with the game also boasting real-time weather effects and meticulously-realised visuals.

Snake’s latest outing is due out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. A release date has yet to be announced.
