While our official review is in transit, we’ll be providing PlayStation 4 content centered around the game and its new and enhanced features.
The first piece of content we tested was the overall connection while playing online. In light of last year’s installation, the servers in MLB 14 suffered from a few hiccups, but one particularity stood out the most: The first inning, both the top and the bottom, would have visibly obvious delays betweenseeing a pitch and being able to respond to it, resulting in a strike almost every time. Luckily, this year immediately delivers a much better experience, but I bring up a few lingering issues that we detail in the video.
Joining me is Dale Crowe, whom I play against in the video featured below. Unfortunately, we had some trouble with bringing the entire party’s voice chat into the feed until much later, but rest assured that the content we post later this week will include both sides of the conversation.
If you have any questions for us, feel free to ask in the comments. You can also reach us at our respective Twitter accounts: Dale Crowe @ALLDAYcrowebar and Tim Nunes @Timberelli
MLB 15 The Show will be reviewed here at PSU, but please give us a few extra days to get them covered as we only received our copies on Tuesday. PS Vita and PS3 gamers: Don’t worry, because I’ll be publishing a review for each of the three versions of the game. Thanks again for the patience, and let us know what sort of content you’d like to see during, and even after, the review process.
