MLB The Show Franchise Set To Make The Jump To PC, Suggests Job Listing

MLB The Show developer Sony San Diego Studio has hinted that it is working to bring the long-running baseball franchise to PC for the first time.

A job listing for a Senior Graphics Programmer mentions the studio is working on an “AAA PC title,” which while not mentioning MLB The Show specifically, it’s a safe bet to assume it is that series simply because that’s been the focus of the developer for quite a few years now.

Come join San Diego Studio making a AAA PC title. Our focus is on delivering innovative, high quality gaming experiences. We are seeking a Senior PC Graphics Programmer to join our team in advancing the visual and technical quality of a AAA PC title. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing real-time graphics systems specifically for PC, ensuring robust performance and high visual fidelity across a wide range of hardware configurations.

You will focus on writing and optimizing our PC engine, debugging performance issues, implementing new graphics features, and ensuring the game takes full advantage of platform specific technologies offered by NVIDIA and AMD.

The latest entry in the series, MLB The Show 25, was released back in March 2025 for PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S. The franchise originally started out as a PlayStation-exclusive, launching back in 2006 for the PS2 and has released on every major Sony platform annually since then. Beginning with MLB The Show 21, the series transitioned to a multiplatform release.
