After initial leaks well before E3, and a most recent leak of the official box pack of the game, it’s finally been officially confirmed. The evil tyrant Infinite Warfare no longer holds Modern Warfare Remastered captive.
Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Remastered will be available via digital download via psn store or can be purchased as a standalone disc title. It’s been priced at $39.99 and, somewhat unsurprisingly, the DLC maps will have to be bought separately.
COD4 Remastered standalone title will release for PS4 on June 27th. The game was previously available to those who had purchased the $79 COD infinite Warfare Legacy Edition.
It has always been expected that Activision would eventually release the remaster of the game-changing 2007 shooter on its own, despite constant denials from the publishing titan. The upside is that Activision won’t be able to play that card again with any sincerity.
