New Line has bumped the release date forward for the Mortal Kombat II movie, with the sequel now punching its way into cinemas on May 8, 2025 — it was originally set to arrive in theatres this October, before being pushed back to May 15. Still, a week early is better than nothing!
As a result of the new date, Mortal Kombat II finds itself in the same window as Sheep Detectives from Amazon MGM Studios, with both films looking to avoid clashing with The Devil Wears Prada 2.
