Mortal Kombat 2 Movie Wraps Filming As More Characters Are Confirmed

Filming on Mortal Kombat 2 has now wrapped and the cast has expanded with the addition of a number of recognisable characters from the games, including Jade and Quan-Chi.

As reported by DiscussingFilm on Twitter, the following characters are now confirmed to appear in the film:

• Tati Gabrielle as Jade

• Adeline Rudolph as Kitana

• Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn

• Karl Urban as Johnny Cage

• Damon Herriman as Quan Chi

• Desmond Chiam as King Jerrod

• Ana Thu Nguyen as Queen Sindel

Directed by Simon McQuid and product by James Wan, Mortal Kombat 2 follows up on the 2021 Mortal Kombat series reboot, and brings back a number of actors from that movie, including Lewis Tan, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Jessica McNamee among others.

The original Mortal Kombat movie was released in 1995 and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, who would later go on to produce the Resident Evil film series starring Milla Jovovich.
