Warner Bros. Pictures has released a first look at Johnny Cage in the upcoming Mortal Kombat II movie, which gives us a glimpse at him in action in Uncaged Fury, which is one of Cage’s in-universe films.
This follows up on news that Warner Bros. put together a fake IMDB page for the Cage, which looks at his various movie projects, a humours FAQ, and some other trivia on the character. In case you missed it, the nut-punching Mortal Kombat brawler is played by Karl Urban (The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Dredd) in the movie.

Johnny Cage made his debut in the original Mortal Kombat as a hot-headed movie star with flagship moves such as his Shadow Kick and Package Check (yes, really). He returned in many subsequent games, and was famously pitted against Scorpion in the 1995 Mortal Kombat movie before being killed off in the opening moments in Mortal Kombat Annihilation.
Mortal Kombat II is due out in cinemas in October 2025.
