The Mortal Kombat movie reboot is making its much-anticipated debut on April 23, but if you can’t wait until then, you can watch the first seven minutes of the bloody action flick right now.
Seen below, the introduction to the film sets up the rivalry between Hanzo Hasashi (aka Scorpion) and Bi-Han (aka Sub-Zero), and we even get to see how Scorpion obtains his trademark spear. There’s plenty of combat buckets of claret, which is good to know.

Mortal Kombat will debut in cinemas and HBO Max on April 23, and is directed by Simon McQuoid. The film features a wealth of characters from the video game series, including Sonya Blade, Jackson Briggs, Liu Kang, Shang Tsung, Goro, Raiden, Kano, and more.
