The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Mortal Kombat X have been canceled, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced.
Both versions were originally due out alongside the PS4 and Xbox One releases in April, before being delayed to June. It was then pushed back again to an unspecified date.
Writing in a community post, Warner Bros. said that the decision to cancel the last-generation version came down to not being able to meet the quality expected of a Mortal Kombat title.
“We were not able to get the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions to the quality expected of a Mortal Kombat game and are very sorry for not being able to deliver the products as originally planned,” said the publisher.
“If you pre-ordered Mortal Kombat X for PS3 or Xbox 360, please go to the retail location where you pre-ordered the game and you will receive a full refund.”
