Naughty Dog would "love" to see Uncharted grow beyond PS3

Evan Wells, co-president of Sony stable mates Naughty Dog, has expressed interest in seeing the Uncharted franchise make the jump to other formats, specifically a handheld device. Uncharted PSP, anyone?

Speaking with the Examiner, Wells revealed he would “love” to see Nathan Drake’s treasure hunting escapades progress beyond the confines of Sony’s black box, stating, “We’d love to see Uncharted grow beyond the PS3. It would be interesting to see what sort of changes to the design one would make for a portable system.”

Despite this, Wells said that the team are “purely focused” on PS3 game development for the time being, and confirmed that the studio has plans for multiplayer-focused DLC for Uncharted 2: Among Thieve at some point. As for a new entry in the Jak and Daxter franchise, the Naughty Dog bigwig assured readers that the team “would love to play in the universe again," though remained tight lipped on any further details. Fingers crossed.

Uncharted 2 is due out on PS3 on October 13.
