Neil Druckmann, creative director at The Last of Us developer Naughty Dog, has revealed during an interview with Entertainment Weekly that he ‘can’t say anything’ about the studio’s next PS5 game, as the developer’s communications boss “will slaughter” him.
I’m given feedback on this theme park thing, I’m working on the TV show, and I’m working on another game, so I’m just kind of jumping around on different projects” – and, after confirming that the second season of HBO’s blockbuster The Last of Us series is “outlined and ready to go as soon as the strike ends.
As far as the next game at Naughty Dog, I can’t say anything. My comms director over there will slaughter me.
As previously reported, Druckmann is the writer/director on the unannounced PS5 game, which is separate from the upcoming The Last of Us multiplayer project. Rumours have persisted that the Sony-owned studio is working on The Last of Us: Part 3, but Naughty Dog is keeping mum on the new game’s identity.
Druckmann previously acknowledged that fans are eager for a new entry in The Last of Us, but wasn’t able to confirm whether or not it was the new game in development at Naughty Dog.
