Netflix’s The Witcher TV Show Season 4 Is In Production, Season 5 Also Confirmed To Be Coming And The Show’s Final Season

Netflix’s television show adaptation of The Witcher has officially kicked off production for Season 4, the streaming service confirmed on its companion site Tudum.

What’s more is that not only has work begun on Season 4, but we also got confirmation that there will be a Season 5, and that fifth season will also be the show’s final season.

“It is with huge pride that we begin shooting our penultimate season of The Witcher with a stellar cast,” said the adaptation’s creator and showrunner Lauren Schmidt.

“Including some exciting new additions, led by Liam Hemsworth as Geralt Of Rivia, we’re thrilled to be abel to bring Andrzej Sapkowski’s books to an epic and satisfying conclusion. It wouldn’t be our show if we didn’t push our family of characters to their absolute limit – stay tuned to see how the story ends.”

These last two seasons will cover events of the last three books in the original novel series, with both seasons being filmed “back-to-back” according to Tudum.

There’s currently no news as to when we might expect Season 4 to premiere, but with production just kicking off, it’s likely that news won’t be ready for some time.
