Ubisoft has announced that it will reveal the newest installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise on May 12, at 5.00pm (BST).
Following the leak of an earlier promotional image, Ubisoft released the following teaser trailer, confirming that a new Assassin’s Creed game is due to be revealed shortly.
Rumours have been circulating for months that Ubisoft is planning to take the Assassin’s Creed franchise to Victorian London, and there’s something in the trailer that may confirm the speculation. Check out the cane that the game’s protagonist is holding. It appears to be a Vulture Cane like the one below; a hand-carved walking stick made in London in the 19th Century. If we are heading to the rooftops of London, here’s five iconic landmarks that we can’t wait to visit!
Twitter user @Black2Key also discovered that the protagonist’s name may be Jacob, after he scoured the source code on the official site and discovered that the video was labelled with the words “Jacobshands”.
