Codemasters has popped the hood on a fresh batch of DiRT 5 content in the shape of the Energy Content Pack and Junkyard Playgrounds Pack, which will be available to download across all platforms on February 22.
First up, the Energy Content Pack adds four new cars representing the ‘Legends of American and European automotive scenes.’ These include the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra Pre-Runner, Alpine A110 Sport, and the Porsche Taycan Turbo S. These fresh motors will be accompanied by new game modes, including 25 bespoke events in Career.
There’s also new scenarios featuring dynamic and extreme weather conditions across Brazil, New York, South Africa, and Nepal. In addition, Codemasters has revealed that two new exclusive sponsor options — Xite and MadCroc.
Also on the cards is the Junkyard Playgrounds Pack, which comes equipped with over 20 new items including srap metal, crushed cars, and tyre stacks, plus cranes, bulldozers and a scrap-built dinosaur sculpture. These can all be used in Create mode for designing arenas, and they can be uploaded for all players to race on.
Codemasters will release the Junkyard Playground Pack for free, while the Energy Content Pack is free to owners of the Amplified Edition of DiRT 5. For everyone else, you can download it via the PlayStation Store for £9.99/$12.49.
