New Lego Star Wars Game in the Works, According to Reports

New Lego Star Wars Game Leaked

Yet another Lego Star Wars game is in the works, according to Matt Wood: voice actor and sound designer at Skywalker Sound.

Speaking during last weekend’s Star Wars celebration, Wood revealed:

There’s so many things we’re doing right now.

I mean, we’ve got Resistance going, Clone Wars going. We’ve got Mandalorian happening; of course, Episode IX happening. There’s a Lego Star Wars game we’re working on.

If this wasn’t evidence enough, however, sources close to Eurogamer have not only verified Wood’s comments, but also gave us some indication as to the nature of the forthcoming game.

Next Lego Star Wars Game Will Encompass the Entire Saga

According to Eurogame’s sources, rather than a simple adaptation of Episode VIII: The Last Jedi and Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, the next Lego Star Wars game is being designed to encompass the entire saga. Which, presumably, means all nine mainline films.

It should come as no surprise, then, to learn that the as yet untitled game is being described as the ultimate Lego Star Wars experience.

Suffice it to say, we’re keen to learn more and look forward to the official announcement at some point later this year.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – First Details

The next instalment in the Lego Star Wars series wasn’t the only video game to be discussed during the Star Wars Celebration, however. As many of you have no doubt seen already, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order featured prominently during the event.

First and foremost, developer Respawn Entertainment revealed that the upcoming game tells the story of a young Padawan named Cal Kestis who, after the execution of Order 66, finds himself on the run from the all-powerful Empire.

While Respawn also confirmed that Fallen Order will be a single-player experience that places a heavy emphasis on melee combat, with no multiplayer component or microtransactions of any kind to detract from the central narrative. Providing a refreshing change of pace from the norm, to say the least.
