Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have lifted the wraps off an updated Marvel’s Avengers PS4 box art, which waste no time in boasting about its PlayStation Exclusive content in the shape of the playable Spider-Man character.
Updated Marvel’s Avengers PS4 Box Art Revealed
The updated art work for the superhero title features a sticker highlighting the web-slingers exclusive appearance in the PS4/PS5 versions of the game.
Spider-Man’s inclusion caused a lot of controversy among PC and Xbox One owners, with Crystal Dynamics explaining that the decision to include him in the PlayStation versions of the game was down to Marvel and Sony’s relationship.
The studio also revealed that the wall-crawler won’t just be tacked onto the game’s story, and will have a meaningful presence in the game — essentially being the cherry on the top, as it were.
Marvel’s Avengers is slated for release on September 4 for PS4, PC and Xbox One, with a PS5 and Xbox Series X version coming out at a later date.
