Following the hype of No Man’s Sky pre-release, the subsequent negative feedback from some corners of the web, and the apparent disappearance of its developer, Hello Games, there’s finally some good news for those who have stuck with the sci-fi survival adventure.
Hello Games has released a statement confirming a No Man’s Sky update is due for release soon. The new patch has been called the ‘Foundation Update’ as the studio confirms it will be laying down the foundations for the future of the game and further updates.
The team has been working on the update since the last patch on September 24, but states that “it won’t be our biggest update”.
They UK based develerop also took the opportunity to comment on the intense media and consumer circus that has shrouded No Man’s Sky since release.
“The discussion around No Man’s Sky has been intense and dramatic, “ reads the statement. “We have been quiet, but we are listening and focusing on improving the game that our team loves and feels so passionately about. Positive or negative feedback, you have been heard and that will truly help to make this a better game for everyone.”
