SEGA has announced that the new Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 update is going live today for all available platforms, and adds a wealth of new content including Sonic the Hedgehog as a playable character.
The Blue Blur isn’t the only new face in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, either. Lidelle, Ms. Accord and Ocean Prince, with each character coming with their own stage music, and there’s also a bunch of Sonic-themed Item Cards will include iconic elements from SEGA’s platforming series, such as the shield and spiky ball.

In addition, a Boss Battle with Everyone mode has been added to the game’s online options, which allows co-op for up to four players as they team up to take on boss characters. If you manage to defeat the bosses, you’ll earn exclusive Item Cards and other bonuses.
Puzo Puyo Tetris 2 is out now for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
