Assassin’s Creed associate producer Jean-Francois Boivin has revealed that Assassin’s Creed III will feature an all-new setting and lead character, with Ezio’s tale coming to an end in this year’s AC: Brotherhood.
Quizzed by Gamerzines if we’d see a new character and location for the next entry in the popular franchise, he replied, “Assassin’s Creed 3: new setting, new hero. That’s the way it works.”
Apparently, this has been on the cards for a while, with Boivin adding, “We know what we’re doing; we’ve had a plan for a long time where this license is going to go.”
Don’t expect to see Assassin’s Creed III anytime soon, though, with the series due to take a well-earned break after the release of Brotherhood this November.
