Square Enix has released the first teaser trailer of what appears to be the new version of Valkyrie Profile Lenneth due to release in 2018 on PS4.
This project is based on the first Valkyrie Profile game, released on the original PlayStation on December 22, 1999, in Japan, before later being localised for North America in August 2000. It then had a port to handheld when it showed up on the PlayStation Portable as Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth.
Interestingly, that version was first released in Japan March 2, 2006, twelve years ago to the day.
You can see the minute long teaser below for Valkyrie Profile Lenneth. It doesn’t give away a lot, but there’s some details to take away from it.
Kou Yoshinari and Yoh Yoshinari return to design the characters for this version, and famed composer for the original game, Motoi Sakuraba also comes back. The game's main character Lenneth Valkyrie is revealed to be voiced by veteran voice actress Yumi Touma.
We’ll be on the lookout for something juicer about the game in the near future.
