Though many had their suspicions that Brazilian fighter, Eddy Gordo, would be joining this year’s Tekken 7 character roster, it still hasn’t been confirmed by Bandai Namco Games.
However, there’s currently a Tekken 7 press event being held in Brazil (screenshot above) and press have been apparently told that the Brazilian martial artist will indeed make the final cut. Expect official confirmation very soon!
Eddy Gordo first appeared in Tekken 3 in the arcades in 1997, and then made an appearance in the 1998 PlayStation port. He’s also featured in Tekken 4, Tekken 5 and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection and adopts the fighting stance of the Brazilian martial art of capoeira.
The final Tekken 7 roster also includes the likes of Akuma, Claudio, Feng and Kuma. Players who purchase the Tekken 7 Season Pass will also get access to additional DLC packs which include new character, stages and a new game mode.
Find out how we got on with Tekken 7 with our hands-on impressions.
