New Ubisoft Job Listings Call For Experience With Generative AI Tools

A series of new job listings from Ubisoft has revealed the Assassin’s Creed publisher is looking to hire candidates with experience in generative AI.

As spotted by Tech4Gamers, one job opening is for a Technical Art Director at Ubisoft Annecy, and is looking for people to work on an unannounced AAA title. Among the qualifications listed include the successful candidate being “proficient” in generative AI tools, including ComfyUI, MidJourney, NanoBanana, and Hunyuan. The applicant should also be “comfortable working” with the likes of Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT and other generative AI models.

Meanwhile, a Prompt Specialist job opening for Ubisoft Paris lists experience with the likes of GPT-4, Gemini, Claude, Gwen, SentenceBERT, Llama, Mistral, and more. A description of the role is as follows:

By joining us in this role, you will become part of a multidisciplinary team (comprising data, programming, game and narrative design, animation, etc.), guided by a simple yet ambitious question: among all the possibilities offered by generative AI, which ones are truly interesting and fun for gameplay?

Back in January this year, Ubisoft proposed a reduction of 200 jobs at its Paris headquarters, which resulted in French unions agreeing to organise a strike for February 10. The news followed a major company overhaul that saw Ubisoft cancelling six games including the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake and delaying an additional seven titles.
