Sony and Naughty Dog have confirmed that a new Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End teasers trailer will debut in U.K. cinemas this weekend.
The clip is only around 40 seconds in length, but offers a tantalizing glimpse at the hotly anticipated PlayStation 4 sequel, with a brief narration by protagonist Nathan Drake. Several gameplay clips are shown from previous trailers too, offering an action-packed look at the upcoming action-adventure sequel.
Uncharted 4 is due out on May 10, 2016 and takes place three years after the events of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Here, we find Nate coming out of retirement to track down a legendary pirate’s treasure in Madagascar; a quest which reunites him with Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan and his long-lost brother, Sam.
Naughty Dog has confirmed that this will be the final instalment in the Uncharted series to feature Drake, although it hasn’t completely ruled out revisiting the series in the future. The studio has at least one more title in the works for the PS4, although it hasn’t revealed any more details as of yet.
Uncharted first launched on the PS3 back in late 2007 and has become one of Sony’s tentpole franchises, selling over 21 million copies worldwide. The trilogy was remastered last year for the PS4 as the Uncharted Collection.
