The Official European PlayStation blog brings news of a new feature for PlayStation 3 called ‘The Studio,’ which kicks off today.
Sony has signed a partnership deal with Studio Output, a London-based production company that compiles unique artwork from graphic and digital artists from around the world.
The feature will see a collection of static and dynamic themes for the XMB available for download, costing from €0.99 to €2.99 each. New themes from Studio will be made available on a weekly basis for the next two months, starting from today.
On the blog, Sony details the initial launch themes, which include the ‘Eyelevator’ by Rex Crowle, who has previously worked on LittleBigPlanet. The theme is described as a "floating collection of visions from a place known as The Orb of Dreamers."
Many of the themes are also available for PSP.
More details, including pictures of some of the artwork, can be seen on the Official PlayStation blog.
