The first images of what is reportedly the next instalment in the Yakuza franchise have surfaced online vi a video posted by MMA fighter Mikuru Sakura.
The images were picked up by Famitsu, and come from Asakura’s tour through developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio conducted by Haruki Satomi, the president of SEGA. Asakura is known to be a major fan of the Yakuza series, which is why he was lucky enough to get a tour of the studio — leaking images of the new Yakuza in the process.
We already know that a sequel to Yakuza: Like A Dragon is in development, so presumably the images are from that game and not a separate project, particularly as Ichiban appears in them.

Beyond the new Yakuza game, RGG Studio has confirmed that it has multiple unannounced games in the pipeline, not all of which are related to Judgment or Yakuza.
