The developer behind PlayStation 3-exclusive Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch has teased it has a new game in the pipeline.
Speaking to the folks at 4Gamer (via gamingbolt) Level-5 bigwig Akihiro Hino indicated the studio wants to offer something fresh for players amidst a sluggish era of gaming.
“In the midst of a rather sluggish consumer game industry at the moment, I believe that the industry needs a new game,” he said, adding that Level-5 will, “try our best to make a new title that’ll surprise all of you, so please look forward to that.”
While not an outright confirmation, it certainly seems that Level-5 has something up its sleeves for the not-so-distant future. After the critical and commercial success of last year’s Ni no Kuni, it isn’t too hard to imagine that Hino-san will achieve his goal in surprising gamers with his next project.
