NieR: Automata gameplay video unveils amusement park and department store locations

NieR: Automata is set in a futuristic, post-apocalyptic world, so it’s only fitting to find abandoned remnants of modern human society. The latest gameplay shown by Square Enix on the PlayStation Stage at this past weekend’s Taipei Game Show 2017 in Taiwan showcased two such deserted locales: an amusement park and a department store.

You can watch the new gameplay starting at the 18:34 mark to about 25:40 (the embed below has it sectioned already).

The more I play and see of NieR: Automata, the more I can’t help but get excited. A fun, free demo you really should play is available to download on the PlayStation Network and you can read our impressions.

NieR: Automata will launch for PlayStation 4 on March 7 in North America and March 10 in Europe, with a PC port planned for later this year. Set after the events of the original NieR, this action RPG is developed by PlatinumGames, the studio behind Bayonetta and Vanquish, with NieR and Drakengard franchise creator Taro Yoko as director. PS4 Pro owners can expect to run Automata at 1080p at 60fps.
