Gory hack-‘n-slash title Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus will be released on PlayStation Vita in the U.S. and Europe on February 22.
For those unaware, Sigma Plus is a revamped version of the original Ninja Gaiden Sigma, released on PlayStation 3 back in 2007. The Vita edition offers support for the handheld’s touchscreen, gyro sensor and rear touch pad.

"We’re confident that gamers, both our fans and those new to the series, will find Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus to be a thrilling and challenging experience that lives up to the spirit of what the series is best known for while offering a host of new and portable gameplay mechanics."
Team Ninja is currently polishing off the third entry in the series for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Ninja Gaiden III launches in March 2012.
