According to Square Enix boss Yoichi "Imperial Hot" Wada, Final Fantasy XIII will not be released in western territories until Spring 2010.
Speaking in an interview with Rueters, Wada confirms that while Japan will be enjoying a 2009 release of Final Fantasy XIII, the game will not be arriving in the U.S. and Europe until at least Spring 2010. He also reiterated that the Japanese version of FFXIII will remain a PlayStation 3 exclusive.
Japan’s Famitsu magazine revealed earlier this week that the game would arrive in 2009, although following Wada’s comments this clearly only applies to Japanese territories as expected.
Stay tuned for more details as they progresses.
