Hello Games have just announced the next update for No Man’s Sky, titled Beyond.
Beyond will contain three major updates rolled into one larger free release. The first part is No Man’s Sky Online, which is described as the following:
No Man’s Sky Online includes a radical new social and multiplayer experience which empowers players everywhere in the universe to meet and play together. Whilst this brings people together like never before, and has many recognisable online elements, we don’t consider No Man’s Sky to be an MMO – it won’t require a subscription, won’t contain microtransactions, and will be free for all existing players.
This effectively adds an MMO component to No Man’s Sky. It just doesn’t have all the subscriptions and microtransactions usually found in one. No Man’s Sky Beyond is due out in Summer 2019.
No Man’s Sky originally launched back in 2016 and we enjoyed it back then in our review stating “It’s flawed in some fundamental, if fixable, ways, but No Man’s Sky has a dreamlike allure.” However, Hello Games re-released the game last summer alongside a new expansion called No Man’s Sky Next which drastically changed the game. We also reviewed the Next update for the game.
Are you excited to jump into No Man’s Sky alongside other players?
